A-4 Upgrading Firmware Through CLI

This Command Line Interface (CLI) provides you to congure and

manage the 6Gb/s SAS RAID controller components in Windows,

Linux, FreeBSD and more environments. The CLI is useful in en-

vironments where a graphical user interface (GUI) is not avail-

able. Through the CLI, you perform rmware upgrade that you can

perform with the McRAID storage manager GUI. The controller has

added protocol on the rmware for user to update the controller

rmware package(BIOS, BOOT, FIRM and MBRO) through the util-

ity.

To update the controller rmware, follow the procedure below:

NFLASH FileName

NFLASH FileName /cn --> n=0,1,2,3 write binary to controller#0

FileName May Be ARC1882FIRM.BIN or ARC1882*

For ARC1882* Will Expand To ARC1882BOOT /FIRM/BIOS.BIN
